About

Welcome to this site! My name is Merlin Henry, and this project is the result of my first-year studies in the MMI (Multimedia and Internet Professions) program.

This individual project has a dual purpose, both personal and academic:

  • Address a historical injustice (the Matilda Effect): I believe it is essential to give visibility to women scientists whose contributions have been historically minimized or erased. My goal is to highlight their work to restore a fairer history of science.
  • Be a resource: I aim to provide access to tangible sources and biographical information. I designed this site as a tool for teachers and students, ensuring the highest rigor in the facts presented.

Putting Skills into Practice

This site is also a concrete demonstration of the skills I acquired during my first five months in MMI:

  • “Mobile First” Web Design: I prioritized the mobile experience to ensure fast and pleasant browsing.
  • Website Building: this project showcases my ability to build a first website, handling integration, structure, and standards compliance.

By exploring these pages, you’ll discover not only the scientific figures I chose to highlight, but also the results of my early learning in MMI.

Thank you for visiting!
